It was a glorious day. The sun shining through the glass doors that opened out onto the spacious balcony overlooking the Swan river. Stunning. Stunning. Stunning.
The location- Rambla on Swan in South Perth. You could not get a better location for your Perth wedding. It has this amazing balcony that looks out into the Swan river. This venue really is a beautiful space.
Throughout the day canapes and local wines were served. I didn't sample any wine but I did manage to try the absolutely delicious canapes in between chatting to the loved up brides and grooms. Hooly, dooly, they were yum! Everything I tasted was divine and honestly, if I could have my wedding again, it would be at Rambla on Swan.
Mel Lucas is the functions coordinator and she is nothing short of brilliant! She has impeccable attention to detail. It's almost like she see's a birds eye view but at ground level. She is friendly and approachable and I absolutely loved how she took care of everyone, including the wedding vendors
The wedding cakes on my display looked so good but I can't take all the credit. You see, the room was full of beautiful things. Floral displays that were truly inspiring, beautiful stationary, the most gorgeous wedding gowns, table setting that were truly inspiring, wedding hair and make up artists, musicians, a DJ, celebrant, photographers and videographer and more.
A special thank you to Peter Edwards Photography for the beautiful images from the day.
The most breath taking tablescapes I have ever seen and . Michelle Mok and her team did the most gorgeous table settings and wedding flowers. Their styling and floral work was just gorgeous and made me again wish I could have my wedding all over again.
One of the wedding cake designs was a marble and gold wedding cake. Metallics are huge right now when it comes to wedding cakes and marble is another trend.
This designed has stylised wafer paper flowers and a wafer paper rose. I love how they don't steal the show from the gold or marble. Wafer paper flowers are a great option as a design element on a wedding cake and are much quicker and easier to make than sugar flowers. For the budget conscious bride they are a fantastic option and there are so may other flowers that can be made from wafer paper. Roses, peonies, orchids and anemones to name a few.
For the marble tier I started with white fondant and added teal blue, grey and a very small amount of dark grey.
My favourite thing on this wedding cake is the gold paint and the personalised topper. A very special thanks to Foote and Flame for the Cake Date wedding cake topper. The gold paint adds a very striking design element that's not busy. It's clean, elegant and yet still has the bling factor,. Love it!
This size cake serves 95 coffee portions and is the perfect size wedding cake if you are having 100-120 guests.
